Hi,
for smaller appartments, it's pointless to charge liion battery to 100% as when e.g. 30% of the battery is generally depleted per one cleaning cycle, there is no need to charge to full.
Point is - above about 80% of charge, every charging damages the battery significantly: Roborock, behave ecologically and add an option to charge to say 75 or 80% instead of 100%, or, even better, over time, learn what battery charge is really useful and try to keep charge/discharge between healthy say 35-75 percent of total capacity. I am sure there are many appartments that would benefit from much prolonged battery longevity due to this optimal charge/discharge voltage level range, and less wasted batteries means less polluted environment and happier customers!
Our android tablet has exactly this feature and its purpose is just this, to extend the usable battery life.
Thanks for considering.
Good point! Thanks for your idea.
According to the given instructions from the manufacturing company limiting the charging level to less than 100 is beneficial for smaller apartments and it also increases the lifespan of these batteries. You also need to give a regular check on http://ipsnews.net/business/2022/01/11/worlds-most-polluted-countries/ the working and cleaning process of these batteries and these are best to use in less polluted apartments or areas.
Very good point. And it seems to be something easy to do with a little firmware upgrade. Hope Roborock do it as soon as possible to maximize the battery life.
